Question:

Whats the point of having a single box plot?

aka Box and whisker plot.

What I don't get is why would you have one on it's own if your not comparing it to another? Like, what is a bos plot on its own supposed to tell you?

  1. The box plot will tell you the overall spread of the data.

    The wider the box plot, the more the data is spread out and so, you can analyze this information.
