Whats the point of having provinces if there is only a sign you drive by?

and how come we dont have to go through customs in each province lol

  1. Did you actually attend school and study history and government? My bet is that you slept through those classes.


  2. The Canadian provinces are not individual nations. Canada is a federation of ten provinces and three territories. By statute, the provinces have jurisdiction over certain legal and social realms, such as the issuing of driver's licenses, the administration of health care and the running of things like accreditation of post-secondary institutions.

    Given just how big Canada is, it would be impossible for the federal government to administer all possible areas of governance, such as national defense, transportation and immigration (Quebec notwithstanding).

  5. BC want to have customs agents to make people pay PST on stuff they bought in Alberta.

  6. ummm even in the states you just drive on through unless there is a toll booth and then u pay a couple of dollars.
