dont say to procreate because if theres no point in life there is certainly no point in creating MORE life..

oh no, i think ive figured out something out, there is no point, it just is, it just exists, so people just are and get on with it and make their own point to make themselves feel useful or at least content while they are here. ugh. sorry, ive been up all night lol ;)

  1. Dude Snap out of it !Life is Great ! Go find a girl and get laid !! A.S.A.P

  2. To go skateboarding silly! Skate or Die! Hahaha.

  3. Mercifully this answer will be buried and not picked as the best one.

The point is life is you are not the one to make it.  Others that you interact with at many moments of the day cause you to have many points in life.  And the many overall in time become a point or philosophy or belief in life that you live by and think by and our conscious of.

The only reason why you think the point of life is just to be is only half ot it.  For the other half is when you interact with others every moment of the day.

    Later gator.

  4. There is a certain kind of dignity in the minds that seek to live more gratefully and less inquisitively, as asking impossible questions, doubting everything, and worrying about things that simply cannot be changed. If such minds can be saved from complacence, from rigidity of beliefs and ignorance, then they could earn a great deal of happiness and usefulness in life and for the world they belong.

There is no purpose to life that we must know in order to be able to anything right in the world. We can come to believe that there is some grand purpose behind everything, behind life in general, the universe and existence at large, but this belief would mean nothing to us if we do not wipe the slate of our mind blank first and learn to write upon it with our mind and will a purpose of our own, the way we see it, the way we believe we can realise it, the way it is for us, to the best of our knowledge, belief and ability.

If by the phrase ‘point of life’ you mean purpose of life then this concept should not be all too alien for you as it is in you yourself have said: ‘I think I have figured out something, there is no point, it just is, it just exists’. This is one line of words well said. There is no such purpose, or sense to living, or at least this is the impression we get. The thought has huge impact on the mind. It makes is feel alone, stupid and purposeless in a purposeless world, where everything came to be for no good reason and will eventually die out without one.

The thought of might cause the mind to laps for few moments into darkness of despair, but the very thought is necessary to kindle in the mind a deep sense of responsibility of life, of its potential and autonomy of its position, for it we will not do something to make life worth living then there is no backup plan in the nature of things, life then might simple go to waste, banish without a trace, we might die without utter even a whimper or sigh of sadness. But if we assume change, and take hold of things in our life then life could become everything, everything then could start to fit into its place in our life. We are not the one to search for the purpose, we are the purpose the best that life has. We need to discover ourselves as our purpose, or point, of life, through living.

  5. Well you see...

There was once a computer created to calculate the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.  The computer was called Deep Thought.  It took Deep Thought millions of years to calculate the answer.  When it was finally done, the computer had come up with the answer...42.

The actual question was unknown.  So Deep Thought drew up plans for another computer to calculate the question, and that computer was called Earth.  Earth was first inhabited by savages.  But was later conquered by a race from another planet.  The original population died out and so the question will never be calculated...

as for your problem, if you really believe theres no point to life, than have fun while you can.  You can go on forever looking for the true meaning to life, maybe its just to leave the world a better place than you found it.

  6. I th ink you might be right. It just is. And sometimes I think there are many other life forms out there that we don't know about. I also think that every creature here on earth is equal. For some reason humans think they are superior to every other animal. h**l, the animals probably think they are the best too. Weird stuff to think about.

  7. People have been pondering this question for years and most have their own version of what its all about. All you can do is find out what your gifts are and share them with others. Your soul is on a journey of constant learning, on its way to heaven, nirvana, whatever you want to call it. That's my view, but like all the other explanations, it doesn't tell us why....neither does any religion that I've ever studied.

  8. I hope it's not reading this question.

  9. theres a point to life

  10. Thousands of years ago the Meaning Of Life was written in the night sky. When we were puzzled or depressed all we had to do was look upwards and there it was to inspire and console us.

Over the millenia the message had faded away leaving only the full stops and the dots over the i's.

Nowadays we know very little about the Meaning Of Life except that it is very long and has a lot of i's in it.

  11. It's to not ask this stupid question.

  12. i think life is all about exploring and ever human being has it in him where they want to know the future of themselves when the already know how its going to be like but not in details. Thats done by looking at yourself now and asking if your doing good with education, because life without education will mean nothing.

    Explore and Enjoy!

  13. to live

  14. 1. If procreation is good enough for thousands of species, why despise it? Procreation may feel inadequate as a motive for conscious beings, but it is certainly important for beings in general.

    2. Consciousness has the special skill of tearing apart what it looks at; it is differentiation (tearing into two) that allows us to form and recognize patterns in things. But this very feature makes us long for the whole picture but see in bits. So saying nothing matters is a way to resolve the paradox that our tool for forming wholes allows us to shatter any wholes we envision. When folks stop the process at some point and build a life around "blind" (unconsidered) faith in a system, others ridicule them with their intellectual whole punchers.

    3. Life can be good with or without meaning. Singing for example gives people a good feeling whether or not the words make sense. Life is an experience and meaning is a construct. Constructs can add to an experience, but never replace it.

    4. Fun IS better in a nihilistic universe. But comforting the afflicted is much more difficult. On the other hand fundamentalism and humor are hard coach companions, and they aren't so good at comforting either.

  15. To pick your goal and achieve it.

  16. The point of life is to ponder what the point of life is.

It's either that, or make as many people around you as happy as you can, so that they do the same.

  17. its God.

  18. Does there have to be a point? It is, so just get on with it and try to enjoy it.

  19. There's no point to life, so lets just enjoy it.

  20. live for god yallz

  21. to live it to the fulliest and maximum

    experience new things

    enjoy it

    have fun,

  22. You are right, there is no point (that is the point) Nor is it to have kids, who then have kids, etc. All having no point! Life doesn't have a point it just IS. I guess at best you aim to enjoy the journey....

  23. Don t try to give life an objective meaning ,it is thoughtless  to put together the existence of millions of people in one mind.

What I try to do, given that I can not find a rational but rather emotional way of explaining the meaning of life, is that I think about how I can make better what already is.

All the people above gave very good advice , it is about helping and trying to understand each other , that s really the tough part , the easy part is being abstract about life and what it is.

  24. its a chance to explore thing to learn thing to make thing happend

    to do stuff

expet leave everything in space alone

in  they havent wonder about us and didnt doanything to us

    leave space alone

    their life

  25. I agree with you. There is no point in life. If I could keep my composure, I would run and keep running as far as I could until my legs gave up because my girlfriend (ex girlfriend) crushed me on my doorstep yesterday. If there was a point in life, I'd be satisfied right now. But I've been up all night as well and there's nothing I can think of that would be better than having everyday last a minute. My point in life right now is to hope there is no point in life because it only leaves me with too much room for error.

  26. I agree with you..

But really (this may sound cheezy) I think it's a test. So if there is an afterlife, the life you live on earth guides you to where you belong "forever". Heaven, h**l, somewhere else..who knows. Yeah, I just read it and it is kinda cheezy. There must be a point tho, for all of this to be possible.

  27. Sounds like you hit on the right answer!!!! Keep helping people and you'll do fine.

  28. go cow tipping

  29. There is no point. We are the creators of our realities. We even created the concept of "the meaning of life". Philosophy is conjecture, poetry is dim, language is blank. There is no meaning. Go outside and tell me if you can find the meaning of life anywhere if you look around: you can't. All you can do is search for the meaning in your own mind whose thoughts have been formed by humans who have no idea about anything outside of their mental creation.
