Whats the point of moving up levels on yahoo answers??

well if you reach level 10 you get a special secret prize if you move up a level the closer you are to getting the prize. but know one knows what the secret prize is

In general, getting to a higher level lets you ask and answer more questions. The higher the level you are, the more questions you can ask & answer. Also, you can star more, comment more, and vote more. And once your past Level 1, you can start ranking.  And Level 5 and above is mostly unlimited access. http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_sy... Also, sometimes they'll have things you can sign up for to get things for free. Like, a little while back they had a whole "help the environment" thing going on, and if you were Level 2 or higher, you could sign up and they sent you a free tote bag and light bulb (and then the more points you got, the more light bulbs you got). And quite awhile back, they gave out prizes (I think for Y!Answers anniversary), and the prizes varied according to your level. I was Level 2 at the time, I think (maybe 3), so I got a car magnet, but higher levels got T-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. So higher levels are also useful in that way.

No point really. For me, it's something to do when I'm particularly depressed and lonely. That is it kills time until (if?) I find a way to fix my problem.

No real point, except that you can ask more and naswer more questions.  I suppose that if you are and addict, this is good news, otherwise it means little.  Just another silly 'badge' of 'accomplishment' for silly humans.

first u do it Just for fun but after a while u become addicted.

As you move up levels you are allowed to do more things... or do more of something. For example, at level one you cannot give an answer a thumbs up and can only answer 20 questions. But at level two you can give an answer a thumbs up or down and you can answer 40 questions.

Of course, you have to be bored out of your mind to do all this since most people have better things to do.
