  1. Ask Djokovic why he bounces his ball one million times...

    (I like that guy)

  2. I am not totally sure about this, but I would think he is actually making sure the ball will bounce.

  3. It gives the player a chance to compose themselves before serving. They'll use this time to decide how they are going to play the serve.

For some professional matches, players will also bounce the ball a few times to wait until the crowd stops cheering. For example, if you watch on tv, the crowd will stop making noise when they see the player start bouncing the ball on the service line as they're ready to serve.

  4. Lol I dont know. I do the same thing for some reason. Its just like a freethrow shooter dribbling before their shot. Maybe to get a feel for the bounce of the ball, or to set the grip in their fingers

  5. its a concentration thing. it gives you time to think about what kind of serve you want to hit, and where to hit it. it is also easier to bounce the ball a few times instead of just walking up to the basline and just serving without any thought.

  6. to gain their focus :)

  7. To check if the ballboy gave them golf balls

  8. i do it to focus on my game. I try to think about the point like ill hit 3 to his forehand side and then one to his backhand side. bouncing the ball is also a great time to think about where am i going to place the serve. i hope i answered your question

  9. It's a routine. It happens in a lot of sports. They feel they need to do something before the serve to get into the groove.

  10. To feel the ball, to calm the nerve, time to think ? I do the same thing before my serves.
