I have never texted on my cell phone, I don't know why people need to text. Can someone tell me why do you text more than call?

  1. I text more than i call because there are no awkward pauses, and they can't detect the tone of your voice.  Also, they can respond at any time and don't need to be near the phone to begin with.

  2. you text if you only have one thing to say and you don't feel like wasting time talking to a person for about 5 mins with pauses unnecessary greetings when you can just say it in a text. You also text when you're unable to talk. or if you have bad reception in an area and you know the call will drop, you can send a text. plus its fun.

  3. it's really cheap, if you wanna send a quick message.

But text message circles in Grade 7 are dumb

  4. its convenient. if you need someone BUT their in a meeting or in class... you can text them without interrupting them with a call. it saves a ton of time. instead of calling someone and having the conversation last for a minute, you can text to them and save your breathe just to say hi... or i love you. you can avoid ackwark conversations and pauses... and just text! POINT IS.. it is convenient!

  5. When I'm sitting in a lecture and I'm bored i text friends. I cant call them because i will disturb everyone else who is interested. Also if I'm clubbing i cant call because i cant hear so i text to see where friends are. I find it more convenient at times but it depends where i am

  6. Saves time and convenient

  7. true the answer above me.

  8. sometimes i need it because im doing something else at the time. or im talking to someone, like if i have people over. im not going to call and ignore the people im with. its also good if you need to let someone know that you are on your way or something. you also save minutes on your phone.
