Whats the point of the 3rd jersey anyway?

to stem the tied of irrelevent questions i thought i'd ask this one becuase i really have no idea

Jersey sales.  The team can make more money selling replica third jerseys in addition to the regular ones.

Because they probably want to seem more like the NFL and NBA with alternate jerseys to try and put a spark of life into revenue. I'm just happy that the Wings aren't going along with it because I really don't like alternates
