I have a burton royale 158 directional twin. With the bindings on the default settings its a 21'' stance and an inch setback. If I wanted to center the stance on the board I would have to move each binding equally one slot towards the front. Would this be advisable or would it change the effective edge on the board since the default stance is an inch setback. I was told to put the bindings in the default holes and if i changed them to move both of them equally, ex. if I moved the front binding towards the tip then I should move the back binding towards the tail equally to keep the maximum effective edge. I wanted to start riding the park more, mainly jumps and i didnt know what to do. The snowboard shop manager by me told me to center the stance with zero setback but I dont know if he heard me right when I said it was a directional twin board. If a centered stance isnt advised on this board I guess I can always buy a true twin. can anyone give me advice on this? or is this board good?

You're getting bogged down w/way too many technicalities.....

Center your stance, you'll be fine......I always ride w/ a centered stance unless it's been a big powder day.....you just want to make sure that you don't have a negative set back meaning that you're closer to the nose than the tail.....which is next to impossible to do w/burton since they limit your forward stance movement by one inch forward.....unlike your 4 hole pattern boards....

ulitmately the most important thing is that the stance is comfortable and responsive enough and stable enough for you when you ride....  too narrow and you won't be stable on your landings, too wide and your carving will be slowed down significantly....
