Thinking about taking my boyfriend here on valentines day. I've never eaten here before. Is the food expensive (dinner)?

And about how much??? Like $10-12/plate?? Or $15 and above?? They don't show prices online. Thanks!

  1. You can get stuff ranging from $10-20 dollars there.  If you're planning dessert too figure about $5-6 for cheesecake.  They have great food though, in addition to the delish cheesecake!

  2. Well its like about 20-25.I ate there with my friend and it cost about 35-45.Including 2 drinks,a steak plate, and pasta&a cheesecake.

  3. Ah, Cheesecake Factory, good choice. Food is very good for a chain. I would figure $15 - $20 but you can get away with less without drinks.

And of course, the deserts are outstanding...

    Enjoy.....

  4. What tends to happen is about 25 a plate with drinks and then an extra 12-13 with dessert so figure about 80 bucks with tip included.  Double check to see if you need reservations.  The cheesecake factory is popular on a slow day, so Valentine's day it will be packed.

  5. I would say depend on location.  New York would obviously be more expensive.

But normally, you can get entrees for under $20-25.  Portion is huge as well.

  6. appetizers are as low as $6-8, sandwiches and salads range from $8-12 and dinners are about $11 and up..  cheesecakes are mostly in the $6-8 dollar range..

when i go there with one other person we usually pick 1 appetizer and 1 dinner and share them and get our own desserts..  if you do that and do not have fancy or alcoholic drinks you can get out of there well under $50..

  7. It can definitely be expensive. If I remember correctly, the average plate costs about $13 to $15. The average appetizer and alcoholic beverage run about $7 each. And the average slice of cheesecake is also about $7.

My fiance, friend, and I went one evening. We each got an appetizer, an alcoholic beverage, and a slice of cheesecake. We spent with tip $75. I thought that was ridiculous.

However, because it is Valentine's Day, I say it's OK to splurge. But the food, in my opinion, is not even close to worth the cost. The cheesecake is, but not the food.

Not that you want advice, but consider recommending a local place to him. They tend to be more intimate.

EDIT: I am in Des Moines, Iowa, so the prices may be different. I remember it being more expensive when I ate there in Chicago, Denver, and KC.
