Whats the procedure for UAE Visa cancellation after 8 years?

Hello!

I was working in UAE on a Resisdence Visa from Dec 1998 till Aug 2000(1 year and 8 months).

I am an Electrical Engineer by profession.

I left UAE suddenly in Aug 2000,due to my mothers medical problem and could not return back to UAE within 6 months.

Since my Visa expired,my PRO in Dubai did not insist on sending back my passport for Visa cancellation.

Now after 8 years, my Passport which had the UAE visa has also expired and I have a new passport.

I had resigned from the Services of my UAE Employer in 2001 February (6 months later when the Visa expired).

Later I joined my new employer in Japan.

Now I am in Canada and I am getting good offers in UAE.

Do I need to cancel my expired UAE Visa on my Expired Passport??

If yes, whats the procedure??

Can my friend in UAE get it done?

It is better to contact your local UAE Embassy.

As the passport & UAE visa are expired, hope there will be no problem for you to come again.
