whats the youngest age that you can start building your credit?

  1. I believe legally it's 18, but some people have been acquiring credit at younger ages.

  3. Depends on your country ... In the US and I think most countries you must be 18 to be legally held to a contract you sign - which is why no credit cards until 18... A lot of banks won't even issue a debit card until then.

  4. I believe it`s 16, but not sure. BofA will let an 18 yr old open a checking account with a cosigner if unemployed.
