weight of a 8foot x 4 foot sheet of 2" weldmesh, also, whats the price? thanks

  1. This depends on the type of mesh, as a close one will have more steel in it than a wider spaced one, and the diameter of the wire affects it too.

    Ifit is any help, steel weighs about 8000Kg per cubic metre and you can calculate the volume of the steel by measuring the total length (metres) of the wires in the mesh, and multiplying by  the area (pi rsquare r radius is half the diameter).

    Aside from that I can only suggest calling the supplier.

  4. Go to www.mcmaster.com at the top left in the find products,

    do a search for "wire mesh screens", you can then pick opening sizes, and different materials.

    They list prices, but not weight.

    You can call or e-mail them your question.
