No offence this time, but I have heard there is 500,000 Aussies living in London, with a population of 8,000,000 people, so 1 in 16 people in London are actually Aussies!

Are Aussie in London & Poms in Sydney the most prominent foreign culture in both these cities?

In Sydney i'm not sure how many people are actually English, maybe anywhere from 3-10%, depending upon the suburb. However with the same 'ratio' of 1:17 as in London, would it be fair to say there would be about 247,000 Poms living in Sydney, with a total population of 4,200,000?

My point is why are there so many Poms in Sydney & Aussies in London, will they eventually all go home and visa-versa?

  1. Yes they are a transient population, mostly young people travelling and the vast majority return home. As they are both Anglophile countries its barley considered a Foreign culture.

  2. The point is "why  so many Aussies dont want to live there?????
