Whats the requirement for carrying a knife in Boston???

i'm heading to school later and my friends all carry a knife around( well not at school).streets of Boston are dangerous especially were i live. ill be coming and going through the subway on weekends for my tennis practice. My friend recommended that i should carry a knife only in case of someone attacking me. So whats the regulation on carrying a knife in Boston? You think any teens going anywhere should carry a knife?

Just remember I can unload my entire gun before you can get within knife range of me.
