Whats the right amount for yahoo groups?

i have 55 so far, & i really dont want it REALLY huge, cus otherwise members will go on no e mail to escape the Flooding there mal boxes, were a Chatty group some nights with jokes, & whats the right amount? & if you get right amount, then what? then have it not listed? or give me ideas,

if you close your group to closed/ invite only, there is no reversing it back meaning if in the future you want more members, you'll only get them by sending invites which we all know some never get.

if you don't want any more members, then set the group to restricted (membership requires approval) and you just don't approve any more members.
