Whats the starting wage in calgary for restront/ bar jobs?

High. If McDonalds starting wage is 11.50, then restaurants will be higher.

Minimum wage is now $8.40 and hour.  However, as there is a labour shortage in the service industry the starting wages are varied business to business.  

There are fast food places that are paying $15+ an hour to start.  Even Walmart greeters are getting over $12 an hour.  

Check around as such things as benefits, tips, etc make a huge difference in what you actually take home.  So it often is better to take a job that gives you less an hour if it is a restaurant or bar that you will get good tips at.
