  1. Well black holes are technically magnetic since even energy is drawn into them, thus causing induction, so the most massive black hole would be the strongest magnet. The strongest magnetic material we currently have on Earth is neodymium.


  2. A magnetar known as SG 1806-20.  Its magnetic field measures at over 10 quadrillion gauss in intensity.  Prone to intense explosions on its surface that produce tremendous gamma-ray storms.  Very, very nasty.

    Black holes suck in matter because of their extreme gravitational pull.  Although many black holes do have magnetic fields of their own, electromagnetic fields have not been observed to bend space the same way that gravity does, so black holes consume everything in their path because of their gravity, not because of their magnetic fields.
