Whats the thujone contient of various wormwood species?

  1. Well, I tried. First I found out that this plant is also called Satiny Wormwood and it does have Thuja in it. The Latin name is Artemisia schmidtiana. The Thuja sold in health food stores is from a different plant -- Arborvitae or Thuja occidentalis.

    Since Thuja is potentially deadly, I wouldn't mess around with it, but stick with what's on the store shelves. That said, you might try asking this question of a chemist or repost in Answers category Chemistry or Agriculture.
