  1. I'm born and bred in this region but even if I've obviously long experience of the weather in Tuscany both either the specific inquired month or these last years' unpredictable weather don't allow me to be sure about the answer. In Italy we call the month of March "mese pazzerello" (madcap month) just because it has always had a very variable climate.

Generally speaking March should be not too cold (min. 5-6° C. and max. 15-16° C or respectively 40°-60°F) and rather rainy and windy. However last year we hadn't rain at all and it was warmer as previous years average while in March 2005 we have had very low temperatures and a lot of snow that here it's absolutely unusual even in the deep winter.

  2. It's better than in February!

  3. unpredictable, as it is at the time between winter and spring so the conditions could go either way. and the weather has been particularly odd this year, so anything is possible in march

  4. If all goes according to past weather around the 50's The farther north you go the cooler the weather. The weather is being very fickle lately. You can't predict. Bring a jacket and umbrella.

  5. Could be very nice (Florence has been very pleasant up until today!) or it could be windy, cool to cold, and rainy. The winter was pretty mild here, so some cold wet weather would not be surprising. Spring was very late last year also - it wasn't until the end of March that we had some warm days.
