Whats the weather like in:1 Lima 2. Cuzco in May?

I can only answer about Lima.  Just remember that Peru is in the southern hemisphere, so if you're from the US, the weather is completely opposite.  I went to Lima in July, which I realize is not May, but from what I had heard, it wasn't much different.  It's always misty there and it was kind of cool - not cold.  The nights got down to the 40's and 50's in July (which is the equivalent of January up here) and the temperatures didn't get much warmer than the low 60's in the daytime.  I'd assume Cuzco would be a little cooler because it's in the mountains.  Lima is cool because it's on the coast.

I was in Peru in June - July. I think the answer you have about Lima is more or less correct for May. Lima is under a near permanent cloud of smog for much of the year and this does keep the temperature much lower than you will expect for a place so close to the Equator. It is only January time (their summer) that you get the sun burning off the smog and a glimpse of the sun. It will not be that cold in Lima but it will not be warm.

Cuzco is another story. It is far higher in terms of altitude and May is early on in the dry season. You might still catch a little rain but in general it should be clear blue skies. The days can be fairly warm, it hit the 70s most days in June when I was there so you can probably expect that a month earlier but in contrast, because of the clear skies and altitude it can be very cold indeed at night (by that I mean freezing or occasionally below). Be prepared and have a great stay in one of the most amazing countries on our planet.

In Lima is Autumn, about 18 C during the day and 15 C during the night. Is very humid.

In Cuzco is the perfect season to visit. Is sunny during the day about 18C at the sun, in the shadow is cold. And during the night it gets pretty cold more Less 4C or less. You can get rain but is not the rain season. I recommend you bring Tshirts and a coat.
