Question:

Whats the white/clear bodied creatures inside my house, not mite shaped and not ants either, about a mm big???

These guys are about the size of a thunder fly (a mm or 2) but with a plumper white or clear body and do not fly.

  1. They sound like silver fish to me.

    They usually gather where it is a bit damp like under the bath.

    They are totally harmless.


  2. Hard to give an accurate identification w/o a clear picture. Could be silverfish.(Although they don't have clear bodies) Check the link below and see if it looks familiar. If they are silverfish, take measures to get rid of them ASAP. They feed on starches; including adhesives in book bindings, paper and photos. Also feed on cellulose that is in shampoos. Able to live for a year without feeding in extreme cases.

    Note: Good that you added that you live in England, that should help in I.D.'ing.

  6. They're called silver fish, live in cupboards and things. Don't know why they're called silver fish, they don't swim!
