like maybe a persons features are very visible on their face, so what word would you use??

i keep thinking the word is "predominant" but that doesn't make any sence, if i were to say, "his pointed nose was very predominant" then i would sound like a crazy person.....

or can the word be dominant, i donno, please help :(

  1. conspicuous

  2. You could say conspicuous... But that is a slightly different use... I think the phrasing would need to be different to use either predominant or dominant. For example, one could say, "The dominant feature of his face was his pointed nose."

Another possibility would be prominent, which I think was the word you were probably really looking for.

    Does that help?

  3. Obvious

    Apparent

    Blatant

  4. Apparent, axiomatic, blatant, clear, clearly, conspicuous, distinct, egregious, evident, flagrant, glaring, gross, literal, lucid, manifest, open and shut, overt, palpable, patent, patently, plain, plainly, prominent, salient, self-evident, self explanatory, superficial, trivial, unambiguous, unequivocal, unmistakable, unsubtle, and visible.

  5. Prominent, apparent or obvious would all be good words to use.  However, I think the word you are looking for is prominent.  "His pointed nose was prominent...."

  6. For a descriptive physical attribute, I'd go with "prominent". But "conspicuous" could work, if you want to spin things stylistically...it might even border on amusing, depending on the context and the tone... ;)

Anyway, I want to complement the other postings. Very creative suggestions.

  7. Prominent
