You could get negative feedback and get your account revoked.

You'll get an unpaid item strike when the seller reports the item as unpaid.  One unpaid item strike is usually not a big deal, but any more than that, you can pretty much say goodbye to eBay.  Sellers can block buyers with more than one unpaid item strike, and most sellers do.

Email the seller and tell them the circumstances-- usually people are cool about stuff on ebay if you're just straight with them.
