um in a monroe piercing it is called a labret stud. I have had my monroe for almost 2 years and I love it. They suck to get them to heal...my piercer said they are one of the more difficult facial/oral piercings to heal and you use a LABRET stud in it not a barbell. If it's too long it can cause keloids ( mine went away after going from a 7/16" piece to a 1/4" piece. Again I've had mine for 2 years and recently retired my snake bites...d**n emo kids running out and getting them....but you used either CBRs any type of seamless rings or labret studs in them too...go to a tattoo shop and ask them more about it if you dont know what type of jewelry to use
