India will host a new tournament on the European tour in 2010, with the Avantha Masters taking place at the DLF Golf & Country Club, New Delhi, between February 11th and 14th. The joint venture between the European and Asian Tour, snappily titled EurAsia Golf Ltd, is initially set to run for three years, and forms the first salvo in India's bid to establish itself as a credible golfing destination. The DLF opened in 1999; designed by Arnold Palmer, the course played host to the Johnny Walker Classic in 1998.
