ok idk what this video game is called but in this game u start off as a ship at the bottom of the screen and u shoot oncoming ships/boats/bosses. when u kill them u get powerups that increase your guns whats this game called?

There was a couple of games like this but the classic is called 1942. That was pretty old school though, but popular back in the day.
