Whats to do on New Year's in Galway?

A gang of us are going upto Galway (hopefully) and renting a house outside the city in Spiddeal or maybe Letterfrack.

What should we do for New Year's Eve and the days around that? Any recommendations??

  1. You could check if any of the local Hotels (like the one below) are open to Non-Residents for the New Year Celebrations :

  2. well if you rent a house in letterfrack good luck to ya you might as well stay at home as the pubs is about 8 to 10 miles away and the only thing you will see plenty of out their is sheep and if you happen to hit one on the way home you can always cook it now if you stay in spidial that's 9 miles from city and the crack is good in town galway but h**l you will never get a cab home no matter how much you pay as the crowd is big you can always stay in spidial but if you want fun try raddison night club for new yr eve you will have to book as they charge for new year eve party but h**l i know you will enjoy Ur self so regards o and if you are over 60 then letterfrack is good for you regards and merry xmas
