  1. If it's a weekday, give yourself at least 2 hours. You could start to hit heavy traffic from the A80 at Cumbernauld all the way to the airport, I'm afraid.

I used to travel that road regularly, and the traffic could be horrendous, even without roadworks and accidents.

If you're doing it on a weekend day, you should do it in just over an hour, it's much easier when the road's quiet.

  2. It depends to what 7.30am refers.

If you are arriving at Glasgow Airport at 7.30 am, then allow about seventy-five minutes - you should not have any significant problems.

BUT, if you are leaving Stirling at 7.30am, then it will take a good two hours. Traffic will be heavy and nose-to-tail from Castlecary Arches all the way to the Kingston Bridge. Be prepared to crawl around Glasgow at an average of 15mph.

Your route is M9 to Stirling Services, M80 to Castlecary Arches, A80 to the new roundabout just north of Stepps, M80, which merges into the M8 at Blocairn.

  3. I imagine it would be hectic especialy in the kingston bridge area , leave about 2 hrs for travel just to allow for delays .

  4. Should be ok at that time in the morning, won't be too busy. I would leave at least an hour though, probably more like an hour and a half but I like to play things safe. Especially if i'm going somewhere.
