  1. Um... there's actually a type of paper called "charcoal" paper. You can find it at most art stores. Also, if you get stuck you can always ask the lovely art store people what they would recommend since, at least in my experience, most people working in art stores have experience with art.

  3. Many art supply stores, if not all, sell Charcoal Paper.

    It'll give you that texture.

    You can also try watercolor paper; it has a similar rough surface.
