I'm going to be there in a month for a while and I was just wondering what it is like in comparison to other cities in the Balkans, or Skopje.

***PLEASE do not respond if you are just going to tell me its not even Macedonia because its Greece. I am not arguing political boundaries here.

  1. Kumanovo is beautiful city, with old history and tradition!

It's little dirty for my standards:)!

But if you are fan of good parties there are some beautiful pubs and clubs there!

Don't forget to visit some restorant and taste our beautiful cuisine!

    Greetings from Macedonia!

  2. It's lovely for sure. It is the third largest city in Macedonia (after Skopje and Bitola), a city with tradition, birthplace of many great Macedonians. The town has also an outstanding revolutionary tradition. Together with Prilep, it was in Kumanovo that the antifascist insurrection of the Macedonian people and its struggle for national and social liberation began on 11th October 1941. A monument dedicated to the Revolution was erected in the center of the town while the tomb of the fallen soldiers is in its suburbs.

One of the most important sites located near the Kumanovo is the 4,000 year old megalithic astronomical observatory of Kokino, located 30 km northeast of Kumanovo and discovered in 2001. It is ranked fourth on the list of old observatories by NASA.

Beside it's cultural and historic importance, Kumanovo has a great night life and people from this part of the country are outgoing and well known by their sence of humor.

  3. I won't say that Macedonia is Greek because it's not necessary to say it.

But i wonder...why all the users who ask a question about FYROM are Level 1 users....

Maybe because users from this country have multiple accounts....nice way to advertise your country !

    Congrats !!!

  4. nosuch place in Macedonia in Greece maybe you mean in the fyrom?

    ex-Yugoslavia?

  5. Well it is a beautiful Macedonian city . Visit it..

  6. Of course you are "not arguing political boundaries here"! You just imply that historical truth is nonsense to you and you become part of a propaganda system, which aims at causing instability in the Balkan region and a future change of those (indifferent to you) "political boundaries". Well done!... Have a nice time in the Balkans and don't forget to buy a lot of souvenirs from Kumanovo to remind you, that being "apolitical" can be a major and often dangerous for the others political action!
