  1. You get great minutes. Don't complain. It's not about who starts, it's about who finishes.

If you really care about the team, you'll accept your role, listen to your coach, and contribute with the great minutes you get.

If you're the sixth woman, then you should love it. The first person off the bench is often the fifth best player on the team...sometimes better.

But as a coach, I love holding one of my best players on the bench. That way, when the game is getting started, four minutes into it or so, and everyone is tired, I can put the good player in and they can dominate. They're fresh.

So yeah...embrace your role. Your coach isn't doing this because she hates you. She's doing what's best for the team.

    And you're getting great minutes.

  2. First off there is no 3 gurad, had to get that out the way bit back to the q. What i would say from Personal experience is to play whenever you get the chance. So what if you come off the bench? Manu Ginobili did last yr and he was thr 6rh man of the yr. Ben Gordon complains because he doesnt start but he puts up better numbers when he doesn't. Plus another advantage to not starting is comming in you are fresher than those on the court already. And if you really feel that you can play the 3 (guard lol) well talk to her in private and tell her. Break it down to her and also ask what can you do to start. If she moved you to the 2 its probably because your one of the best scores on the team but everything happens for a reason. Just prove to her that her reasons might be wrong and that you need to start for your team to win.

  3. Maybe she just wants you to help the team.Look,do you have good stamina?A good example is Manu Ginobili, who can't walk the court more than 30 minutes because of his stamina(Gregg stated this). So whenever he is off the bench(sixth man),he explodes and use his stamina at once.

Your basketball coach might want you to explode when you get off the bench, score an amazing amount in a short time.

My guess would be that she wants something fresh off the bench. Not just a sucky starting five and no bench players.Bench is very important.

  4. Nothing wrong with coming off the bench. There's advantages to coming off the bench.

  5. That happened to me too. In practice show her how you can play forward well. Your coach probably thinks you play better as gaurd. You should ask your coach if you can try to play forward and start for one game and see how it goes. Your coach will probably say yes. He/she won't yell at you so don't be scared too. Talk to your coach after practice if you don't want to ask in front of everyone.

  6. prove to her that ur worthy enough to start   .

you got to show her that in practice..

    if that doesnt work.

    Talk to her about it

  7. Great minutes is nothing to complain about. if you want to start fight for your spot by playing well especially against the starters. after a while confront your coach and ask him what you need to improve on in order to start. that way he knows you're interested and it wouldn't present you as pathetic.

  8. maybe she feels you should be the one to lead the second team. i do it all the time with mine. I let the starters go in, and i play with the second team to elevate their game. I tend to play a lot of minutes as well. Just talk to her and see why she that. good luck.

  9. Prove her wrong! just keep practicing and getting better. sometimes there are reasons why great players cant be on the starting line-up. like ginobli, for example. or even jr smith from nuggets. so its normal. just ask her why or make her regret what she did. up to you
