Whats up with my tailbone?

Hi for the past couple of years if i sit in a bad position like ie legs on a recliner or in a car then my tailbone hurts bad whats wrong?

Few possible reasons for this problem is quite blatant as you pointed out.Sitting in A bad position,where most of the pressure is on your tailbone rather than your buttocks could be one possible reason.Two could probably be you lack fat or muscle mass on your buttocks leading to more uncomfortable pressure on your tailbone.Assuming that my theory is correct,an extend period of such "negative pressure" on your tailbone will lead to such soreness that you would experience just from sitting in A normal position,which will inevitably cause chronic pain.Best advice for you,is to always you chair padding to lessen the pressure and two check with A doctor,I believe pressure sores are prone to that area.Get better.
