Whats up with people drawing graffiti on US postal service stickers and putting them on stop signs and stuff?

Ive been seeing alot of these lately, they are the USPS stickers about the size of a notecard and people draw on them then stick them to walls and stuff, i see them alot on stop signs.

The reason people use the USPS stickers is because they are free from the Post Office, so the people who draw on them don't have to pay for sticker paper or printing costs for real stickers. They just use the USPS labels instead. In urban areas, there are graffiti-style stickers all over the place. If you live in a suburban area, it might just be that the trend is catching on elsewhere.
