  1. I knew going into this series with Orioles they would struggle. lately against them, they have been. Their offense is sleeping once again. We know their pitching is erratic, but you woudl think offensively, they would make each contest, a contest. Though I still think they need to get another arm, and even a bat. Somehow, someway.

  2. idk bnut we better start hitting because the angels come in 4 game series starting tomorrow we better start hitting against the O'S this afternoon

  3. there are just simply being the yankees..... they have little hot streaks, which gets everyone excited, but than they just slip away

  4. YANKEES NEED HELP!!

  5. The Yankees are going to finish this season a 500 team maybe a few games over 500 Third place and will not be in the playoffs this year and perhaps next season. The Yankees are rebuilding and so far the band aid moves they have made such as Sidney Ponson Richie Sexson Xavier Nady Damaso Marte are not going to get the job done down the stretch... Huges Kenndey Joba Chamberlain and the other prospects along with a mix of veterans is what will get the job done....PITCHING is KEY also CLUTCH HITTING how many runners have the Yanks left in scoring position enough to win games !!!! They are rebuilding don't expect much more...

  6. yeah nyterror42 is right. i love them but i always wish they had younger players. also, a better backend in the rotation, it always seems to be filled with losers like sidney ponson or darrell rasner

  7. Iam a big yankee fan but they dont have the pitching. mussina has had a great year so far but he cant carry the load. pettite is having a good year but he needs help. the bottom half of the rotation is horrible. there hitting is up and down

  8. Well it doesnt help the Yankees that both the Rays and the Sox both have killer pitching

  9. Well, I have to say that it's a combination of things.

    1. The Yankees have one, if not the most, inconsistent offense in baseball. Sure, the lineup is loaded with big bats and former all-stars/veterans, but that's all they are. Old. And that translates to two things a) no timely hitting - all going for the longball and b) no speed, which basically destroys the means to energize a team and score runs. So, this is why the Yankees can one day score 6 runs against a Tim Wakefield, and 1 run against a guy with eradic control likr Daniel (who?) Cabrera.

    2. Terrible backend of the rotation. Ponson is and has always been garbage. I don't know why the Yankees don't realize that winning games doesn't mean you necessarily pitch well. He got 8.5 runs to support him per game and always seems to work out of danger. Then, Rasner characteristically starts strong and finishes terribly, getting handed pretty well by an Orioles (team in the AL East cellar) lineup.

    3. The Orioles have a winning record of 7-4 against the Yankees this year, so just forget about what has happened with our garbage backend of the rotation, and hope for a win today, and pray that Cashman makes a move for a number four or five starter.
