Actually, US Men's Beach Volleyball is made up of two teams. The other team Rosenthal/Witt defeated the defending Gold Medalists (Netherlands) from Sydney in straight sets.

Don't put your eggs in one basket with Dalhauser/Rogers. They lost to Rosey/Witt in the last AVP event before the Olympics too. Rosey/Witt beat Dalhauser/Rogers the same way Latvia beat them, where do you think the Latvian team learned how to win against them?

They said the opening ceremony tired their legs out. I don't know how much of the bad play was due to tired legs, but judging from how they played in the more recent match, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.
