He isn't that bad but he has some huge gambling debts and doesn't have a good head on his shoulders. He makes lots of money loses lots of money plays golf. He isn't a drunk anymore but isn't in the best shape of his life he is a bit white trash. The truth is he is past his prime and should be proud that he made a bit of a comeback on tour. Golfers are pretentious self righteous jerks lots of people like John for not being like that in fact if he never drank he may have been great. I hope he wins again I'm sure he will on some tour.

He's pretty much done as far as the PGA tour goes. He is still able to play in a few tournaments here and there, but only on a sponsors exemption. He has lost exempt status and has recently been playing some in Europe.

This guy was cool but really people, most talent of the last 30 years???? Ever heard of Nick Flado or Payne Stewart? The real tragedy is Payne Stewart, he died in a plane crash. He didn't fade away to drunken fat obscurity. The biggest waste is that John Daly threw it away when it was taken away from Payne. Besides, John and all those other power players don't have a short game. They have too much lag in their swings to hit wedges. What would you do if your shortest pitch shot was 105 yards?  Suck is the answer. These bombers are good and could beat any of us but what sets them back in the PGA tour is their inabilty to find a short game. Oh well....

I can't say he's changed in the last 5 years. Same old John, drinkin' beer and playin' golf. Still putting with his wedge, playing without his shirt, teeing off a beer can. Seems normal to me?

He's Overweight, A Woman beater, an drunk, a chain smoker, he's thrown away so many chances that most club golfers would give their left arm for. He should have won 5 majors and would have if he had put as time and dedication into his golf as he did into his private life.

He is a disgrace to the sport, his family and the tradition that is GOLF.

He is now nothing more than a sideshow attraction and I fully expect him in 5 years to either be in a circus touring america or dead!!

to play professional golf today, you need to be an athlete, which i can assure you, John Daly is not. All he could do is hit the ball far. now hes an overweight, binge drinking, chain smoking, discrace to golf, living off the money of his crappy club line. The only reason people buy them is because they see him hit the ball 350 yards when he was younger and say "this driver is amazing!!"

John Daly quite frankly was the most naturally gifted golfer, outside of Tiger, of the last 30 years. Daly wasted that talent. His fans want to say that he is doing things his way. For years I was hoping that he would get a clue and he never did. I really think it is too late. Maybe when he gets on the senior tour he will realize what he had. But as long as sponsors keep throwing money at him, he has no reason to get clean and dedicate himself to his golf game.
