Question:

Whats up with this dream?

I had a dream that's rather embarrassing. I dreamed about a guy that I was really good friends with (for 6 yrs) until about 3 months ago. The friendship came to an end, basically because we had too much to drink, slept together, and things just weren't the same afterwards, for obvious reasons. In the dream he and I are in a bed and we're kissing, even though there are other people in the room, watching. And then I start going down on him, and I hear someone telling us to stop what were doing, but we don't. He finishes, and then suddenly I am taking a shower by myself. While it was happening, I remember thinking why am I doing this, I said it would never happen again, but I didn't want to stop. Any idea what this means? I haven't talked to him or even thought about him in quite a while, so why the dirty dream?

  1. You had this dream because you are not yet over your friend, either plutonically or sexually. Your relationship after 6 years came to a sudden end, that's very traumatic for someone to go through, and no doubt it is crossing over into your dreams.

You feel the shame/embarassment b/c maybe you realized that in doing the aforementioned things with this friend, you also sacrificed little bits of yourself (especially if he wasn't technically your boyfriend - it's still traumatic, you still must have been attached, even if just a little).

You were taking a shower by yourself, you were cleansing yourself - w/o knowing it - trying to wash away the guilt, the bad feelings, shame, etc.

You kept thinking 'why am I doing this again' b/c you probably are not quite over the idea of your friendship being over - how could you be if you were friends for 6 years?

Best of luck to you, try and relax your mind & talk with your friend, this should help your dreams.
