  1. any lady that looks like the s**y Dr. Lowensteinnnnnnnnnnnnn. h**l yea.

  2. First and foremost, a good therapist should be someone you feel comfortable speaking with, someone you feel you can be honest with and tell them about whatever is bothering you.  Trust is a big thing, and if you don't feel like you can open up to your therapist, or if you find yourself holding things back, you're seeing the wrong one.  Remember, unless you tell your therapist you intend to do yourself or someone else harm, everything you tell them they are required to keep to themselves;  if, knowing this, you still find yourself nervous/apprehensive about telling your therapist something, you might be seeing the wrong person.

Second, a good therapist is someone who is genuinely involved in your sessions.  If they just sit back and listen to you and then give you a bill at the end of the hour, they're not doing their job properly.  A therapist is supposed to listen, yes, but they're also supposed to provide feedback, offer new ideas, and treat your concerns with the attention they deserve.  Look for someone who asks questions more specific than "And how did that make you feel?"  Yes, you may think your problems are silly sometimes, but they are paid to listen and help you, so make sure they're doing their job.

Also, a good therapist is not judgmental.  If they pick apart everything you say and appear overly disapproving or harsh and give a lot of criticism, then that's negative reinforcement you definitely do not need.  For you to get over whatever issues you might have, you want someone who is going to be thoughtful and supportive and help you make the right decisions;  not berate you for the bad ones you've made.

Anyway, that's my two cents.  Hope I helped.
