Whats with Digital TV Antennas?

OK I was at best buy and they are selling the TV converters for old TVs for the digital transition, right? So why have HD Digital Antennas not been made available, you know what I mean, Whats up with that?!

    All the TV antennas in the stores are "HD Digital Antennas". Any 30 year old TV antenna you already have is a "HD Digital Antenna".

    The reason is that in North America digital broadcasts are sent from TV transmitters to your TV in essentially the same way as the old analog broadcasts. It's only the content of the signal that is different.

    It's kind of like when UPS deliverers a package to your house. The truck looks the same and uses the same streets regardless of whether the package has a digital DVD or an old analog recording.
