Whats with RAIN and the male celebrities in the Philippines?

What do you think about those big bulky, hunky celebrities that would shiver and would seem like they are having the highest high fever of all when they have gotten wet from the rain?

I just saw 'Iisa Pa Lamang', Gabby Concepcion seems like he is to die when he got wet from the rain.=P

Well, it might be possible for some people though.  My sister gets sick every time she's gotten wet from the rain.

I guess that the problem about the weather in the Philippines is that a usual day is really hot and humid and then sudden showers would definitely change the equilibrium of things..

I went to the Philippines last month and me and some friends were caught in the rain.. My friends did get fever and cough while I did not because I was used to the changing weather conditions in the US.. I guess that its just body condition and adaptability.. Philippine weather is humid and hot and sudden rain after your body is tired and have been exposed to the humidity the whole day may accrue sickness.. It's probably just the immune system not being that strong...

This might be the only one that the writer can think of where actors can get sick from because of limited options..

acid rain causes all sorts of ailments.  if acid rain can erode car paint, imagine what it can do to your body.  i always make sure, when it's raining, my moneymaker doesn't get wet.  it's the type of wetness i don't like.

Its pretty common that Filipinos try to avoid getting wet by the rain.  Its also pretty common for someone there to get sick from it if they do get rained on.   I don't know if its lack of immunity or pollution or what.  As for taking a shower, Filipilos are a lot more clean and tidy than most Americans.  Especially if you consider that they have only cold water and their bathrooms don't look like a club med spa.  You should try living there for a while before you criticize.
