  1. He isn't a cover guy. He couldn't cover a WR with a blanket. He does hit hard. And he makes people think twice about catching a ball thrown over the middle...but he does get burnt a lot. I love Roy don't get me wrong, he just isnt a cover style player. What they need to do is convince him to put on 25 lbs and move him to Linebacker. That better suits his play style. He is a manchild I do agree. He can lay a l**k on someone and end their career, but he can't cover very well.

And they invented the rule because of Roy Williams, it's not like he was doing something that was prohibited. The only reason they implemented the rule was because he hurt pretty boy TO with it. It is football....not ballerina class.

  2. Your right Roy Willaims is a great hitter, and for a while his flaws in pass coverage were covered up by darren woodson... after he retired it has becoming extreamly obvious that he struggles in pass coverage and is out of place and lost in the defense causing him to get burned...

  3. lol he has to be taken out for 3rd down. If you wanna be a hitter a be a line backer, but he to small. The safety postion requires this. in order. 1. Be able to read coverages. 2. Be able to catch ints or pass deflect. 3. tackle.( should be able to do all of them both last one at least tackle ok.

  4. Because he is the reason they created the horse collar rule.  Hes  a dirty dirty player.     I can't stand him.

  5. Because he gets burnt in coverage.

  6. I don't know about hating but he's supposed to be one of the top safeties in the league, yet he plays like a bigger version of Bob Sanders. Not an amazing cover guy but a good hitter. Unfortunately for him, he's not accustomed to Wade Phillips defense and he gets burned on some deep routes. He's supposed to be last man back but if you watch some of the film, his eyes are in the backfield or on the wrong receiver and the coverage is being exposed.

I think the "Roy Williams Rule" is totally irrelevant. Yes, he has "horse collared" some guys but when ur on defense, the only thing ur thinking is "take down the ball carrier anyway u can". He's probably tackling like that cuz he's already been beaten by the ball carrier, which is another issue.

If he played on a defense like Indy or Pittsburgh, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But he's in a defense where he is expected to cover and that's not what he's used to.

  7. Jealousy, sweetie...pure and simple!

    Go Number 31!!!!

  8. yea youre right he is a good hitter but he's better on blitz or running plays he's not very good at wr coverage kinda vague in that area and he was a dirty player he hurt 4 dudes in one season in 2004 and last season he got fined 3 times for (mcnabb) taking them down by horse collar that might be one reason people dont like him, cuz they think he's a dirty player

  9. That's nice that he hits hard, but if he's never near enough to the play to hit anyone, it doesn't matter.  That's where the so-called "haterz" come from.

If he wasn't on the Cowboys he would have never made it to the Pro Bowl, end of story.

  10. Because he doesn't rap up to make the sure tackle. He also gets burned in coverage to many times.

I am also a big Cowboy fan

  11. Because he is a liability in pass coverage.
