Ive noticed that none of the players have any fancy, brand new shoes on in the olympics. Alot of them just look like below average shoes you'd find at walmart or something. Whats going on?

Like Dwights shoes, they look old and dirty

  1. I'm not sure what you're looking at exactly but there are no Wal-Mart shoes on that court. A lot of the players are wearing the new Hyperdunk (a 149.99 shoe), some have on the Nike Zoom (a 129.99 shoe), and several players have their own signature "olympic" shoe (Chris Paul, Lebron, Carmelo and D-Wade among others). Not to mention the shoes of the other teams.

  2. The Nike Athletes are wearing special laser etched Nikes. LeBron is wearing his soldier 2 with Melo in his signature Jordan shoe. Kobe is wearing Hyper Dunks as are the other Nike athletes. All feature a common design them with the laser etching and red/white/blue pallate.

D-Howard is an Adidas athlete and is wearing a red/white/blue version of his shoes. He may prefer to wear the same pair for a period of time to break them in which might make them appear dirty. Their also seems o be a gloss white finish tha could be an off white in color of is picking up the reflection of the brown floor making them a little less pure white.
