Whats worse? A man telling his wife she talks too much, or a woman telling her husband he does not listen?

Question

In class today we discussed how, in general, women speak about twice as meny words as men do in a day.

Do some women talk too much, thus making men tune them out.

Or do men not communicate well (listening & responding)?

A man telling his wife she talks too much is worse. He should want to hear everything she has to say. She is a person. If a woman feels that her husband does not listen it is perfectly okay to let it be known.

Unlike the other contributors, I think it's worse when a woman has to say "you don't listen" than when a man says "you talk too much".

Why? Because, when the man says "you talk too much", at least it means that he was listening to some parts of what the woman was saying. In the other case, he wasn't listening at all... ;)

The man telling his wife she talks to much. Meals and where he sleeps aside, there is another thing a disgruntled wife can withold from her husband.

How about both.  It takes TWO to tangle.   Men prob don't listen cause women danced around the point.  Women dance around the point to be fully understood.  There are men who talk more than women and women who don't listen when spoken to.  Every individual is different.

Just so happens...

I'm a local truck driver. I have a lot of stops, I drive in a city setting mostly, constantly shifting gears, unloading and occasionally loading.

My job is deadline oriented, and must be done in 8 to 10 hours.

My wife calls and Yack Yack Yack.

I have to tell her, "come on hurry up I have to go." She starts yelling "you always have to go." I say, " I'm at work, whats your point already I don't have time to talk!"

Then she goes into a rant on how she can't get her point across because because I'm always rushing her. LOL.

I have to say, "What do you want to know, spit it out right now!" Then she finally tells me why oh why she called.

Do most women talk too much.
