Whats wrong with NBC??

i want to know because every time i want to see wats going on in the olympics all I'm seeing the americans...they wait till the next day to show anyone else like the jamaicans...i want to know why they cant show them the day they are done....cause now I'm hearing who wins the track an field from my jamaican family an i have to wait till the next day to see it...whats up with that?

When NBC is not showing the olympics then you have to check with the cable and/or satellite channels to find out which one is showing in your area. NBC is not the only channel showing the olympic games.

Two different issues.

One, NBC has decided to cover many events on tape delay in order to increase ratings. It's tough to do that when the Games are in China, but they seem to be making money on it. Can you imagine handling the Super Bowl that way?

Two, it's an American audience. NBC will cater to it. That's tough if you are interested in sports with non-American winners, but that's the business.

I have been very frustrated with the coverage from NBC during the Olympics.  Early on, I heard Bob Costas say the network was giving preference to airing gold medal competitions.  But, he should have added only when the Americans are contending!  I stayed up the first 5 nights until well past midnight and finally crashed on the night the women gymnasts were performing.  Guess what, they re-aired it the following night for those of us who missed it.  But, they didn't do the same thing for the male chinese gymnast who won gold for China.  I guess they don't think anyone is interested in the performances of other country's athletes because they sure give more air time to events in which Americans are participating.
