  1. check the dipstick - are you down a quart now?

  2. Could be valve seals leaking. Check the PCV valve. Positive crank case ventilation may not be working.

  3. i agree with avionics...pcv valve, and oil change

  4. it could be that its been overheating/burning oil

when was the last oil change?

do not exceed 3 months or 3000 miles

  5. avionics has got it but not enough can be pos crank vent or to exp pipe coneted from inlet manifold to pcv valve in rocker cover sucks fumes  from crank case it is a combination of hot oil and fuel years ago it was dumpt onto the ground with lots of polution problems allso it stops oil dilution and premature engine wear if valve is blocked heavy fumes come out of rocker cover to check valve remove from rocker cover and shake valve should rattle  if it rattles refit you have other problems you may have worn rings  you need to have a compresion test  and a leak down test it will tell you wear your worn parts are with only the spark plugs that have to be remved

  6. Needs a rebore ?

  7. its blow-by. normal for all cars, but alot worse with older/worn engines.

  8. It sounds like you have a clogged PVC valve, change that first then change the oil and filter. If you still have the problem, you probably have blow by caused by worn rings. That is an expensive fix.

  9. It could be one or a combination of causes.

    (1) If the oil is to dirty it can smoke actually blow-by oil, fuel and air into the crankcase . A bad PCV valve can cause this too. the fix is to change the oil and PCV valve which should be changed every other oil change anyway along with the little filter

    (2) Worn rings and cylinders can allow a blow-by, and smoke in tailpipe  and loss of power.

    (3) Valve-guides can allow excessive oil blow-by (usually smokes in tailpipe)

    (4) The "smoke" could be caused by head-gasket or coolant leaking into the intake .

    (5) Overly rich fuel can cause a black smoke in tailpipe and wash the oil off the cylinders and not lubricating the rings properly  see #1

  10. yes you need an oil change

  11. Yes, badly

  12. Blown a gasket maybe?

  13. bad PCV valve or you have an engine that uses a lot of oil and has bad piston rings.

  14. Smoke coming out of the oil cap can be a sign of positive pressure in the crankcase area from worn out piston rings. Not a good sign.

  15. i think the oil is just getting hot not burning. you should change it if it is at 3000 miles or black
