  1. I would say that it is impossible to find a solvent that is both an organic and inorganic solvent. That's why this "desired liquid" cannot be real.

  2. I have a bit to add to previous answers. A liquid in which all substances dissolve would indeed dissolve the bottle in which it was being kept. It might not dissolve the bottle completely and leak out; it may become saturated with the material of which the bottle is composed, and not dissolve it any further. However, when the chemist brings this liquid to other chemists to show them, the liquid is no longer pure, since it has dissolved the material of the bottle.

In real life, a substance which dissolves all other substances is unlikely to exist, because of the "like dissolves like" principle. However, interestingly enough, gallium trichloride (Ga2Cl6) is soluble in almost all known solvents.

Edit: Why did I get a thumbs down? What's going on here, are there some people out to get me?

  3. it's not possible because if all substances were to dissolve, then the bottle holding the liquid would also dissolve.

  4. the bottle will also dissolved then..

  5. That cannot be true or it would dissolve the  bottle  but, you knew that.
