Whats wrong with me in soccer?

I play varsity soccer for my highschool team. In club I do really well and play on a better club team than most of my teammates that also play varisty with me.

I am the fastest person on the team and generally have good endurance too. But I have a problem. I am playing like c**p. I never have a problem in club or any other time but now. I am better and know I am better than most of the kids. Except when I play, my touches are horrible and I get stuck and lose the ball. Its like I never have a option to do something and feel like I'm always under pressure with no time and panic.

My foot skills are very good and I know their there. I can not figure out what is going on. I should easily be starting but probably with not because I am not performing like I should be. It literally that bad.

This is a complex question and would like serious answers only.

Thanks

  1. well really i had this problem wen i played with friends in my neighborhood i played really good but wen it came down to play for the school team i choked. what i relised is that when i played in school i felt pressured but when i played with friends i felt more relaxed. the truth is that a soccer players is a soccer player where ever u play or go. maybe u feel more comfortable playing where u do ur best, have confidence in yourself and remember its just a gmae evrybody makes mistakes, juss try to get more comfortable with your team mates and with your surrounding remember when u have the ball at your feet, it doesnt matter what others think its your time to shine when you have it just have confidence and have fun. Remember if your really that good when you play in club then you have the capacity to play your best anywhere

Hope i helped and good luck

  2. Your going through pressure. I know this because Im exactly like you. You can do all these crazy tricks, and cool moves, but whenever you touch the ball, people expect a lot from you right? Just remember, it's ok if you mess up.

  3. what you have is pure pressure its like you practice at something over and over again but when you are on the field you feel like you forgot you need to ignore the crowd and act like it is another practice.

  4. Maybe you're too concerned about impressing the other people on the team. You seem to think that you have something to prove to them since you're on a better club team than everyone else. Just relax a little. Push yourself, but don't let the pressure get to you. You don't have anything to prove to the other kids, just to yourself.
