Question:

Whats wrong with my ball python???

his lower belly right by his tail is inflated like a balloon he pooped yesterday an impressive amount but his lower belly is still inflated. im very concerned for him and cant find anything online about it and if you hold it up to a light its like holding your hand up to the light you can see inside but right where the inflating stops you can no longer see inside. does anyone know what is going on? somebody help please!

    Of course I can't know for sure, in an adult female that could even be egg binding, or something else entirely.

    I would definitely get to a vet, get out your yellow pages and call around. Call any vet that says they deal with exotics or reptiles, and ask if they have experience with snakes. This could mean you'll have to get them to call you back after hours, but you definitely want to get someone who knows what they are doing versus a vet that only deals with cats and dogs and is barely comfortable handling a snake. You might even want to test them by asking basic questions about your snake. If they're wrong, don't see them.

    I hope you can find the right vet, this is something internal, it was probably not caused by anything you did and also can't be fixed by anything you can do. Good luck with your python.
