i had just gotten my oil changed and my tires rotated yesterday, they said everything else looked fine

but they said my TPMS and check engine lights were on but they couldn't find out why. They said to go to the dealership and they should be able to find out whats wrong because we have a warranty. but until i can do that should i be freakishly worried? it drives and feels just fine. any ideas on what it could be or whats wrong?also if they cant fix it will they give me a new one? like i said we have a warranty.we JUST bough the car last march and its a 2007 and theirs already problems with it.

its a 2007 Kia Spectra

  1. Good luck on getting a new one. You need to get it in there as soon as possible and demand that they give you a quality vehicle to drive while yours is being repaired. Don't waste a day of that warranty because once it expires you will not get any free days from them.

  2. A lot of the time the problem could be a sensor if it works ok i wouldnt worry too much. It may need to be plugged in to a computer to reset it or to find the fault

  3. your problem could be anything from a faulty O2 sensor to low transmission fluid. You don't have to take it to the dealer though, just stop by AutoZone, or Advanced Auto Parts. They will run a free diagnostic for you. It will take about 5 minutes.

  4. can't tell what could be wrong. When that light comes up the only way to find out the source of the problem for sure is to run it through computers that the dealership almost always has.

I highly doubt that they'll give you a new car, if you're lucky they'll fix the problem for free.

...it's a KIA Spectra...I have always doubted Kia's (specially spectras)...I'd be better off driving a plastic milk bottle.
