Whats wrong with my car speaker connections? i have to connect the negative to a ground to make it work?

my front passenger seat speaker has something wrong wit it, i have to like bridge a ground (say for example a metal plate from the car) to a little bit befor the negative terminal that plugs into the speaker cuz if i dont it doesnt work. and then most of the times when i turn off the stereo neither of the fron speakers work and i have to unplug and then plug back the terminal of my passenger side speaker to make it work... what can i do?

  1. There is a short in your stereo speaker outputs. You will have to remove your stereo and see if you can fix the output.

    You speaker doesn't work after you turn off your stereo because you grounded it with power to it. When you turn your stereo back on, it does not send a signal to the speaker untill you unplug, and plug it back in because of the short.
